With the continuous development of modern society, people's attitudes and pursuit increase accordingly. The physical world are fully satisfied while at the same time the pursuit of the spirit is also increasing. The booming real estate industry led directly higher and higher pursuit of the function and the external form of a construction. Color, image of a building and an important means to beautify the environment, is catching more and more people's attention. Probably the transition of China's construction industry from modernism to post modernism can be the key to this phenomenon. It is undeniable that there are color pollution and overflow in almost all types of construction in our country. Sustainable development shows that the color of construction in city planning and designing has become a pressing problem.As the city's architectural coat in the process of the development of Chinese civilization, color has not only become the logo of civilization but also accumulated historical and geographical connotation. Today's color pattern of a construction is not only the pending problem for public taste and the harmony between architecture but also for the need to succeed chinese civilization. Under the background of economic globalization and clashing of world culture pluralization, appropriate adoption of culture of the future is the only way for a cultural and hamonious development in an economic society. Based on this understanding, this research took study on view of color of the traditional eastern and Western and the development of color of construction as its starting point, the Le Corbusier building as its object. Through probe into Corbusier's building experience, historical development of the use of color and pursuit of strangeness in construction designing, etc. This reseach displays Corbusier's use of color in the construction and the role of color in construction: color of a building often represents historical accumulation and cultural heritage. It is an overall reflection of the whole country which is in the form of subjective convergence and formed under the interplaying factors of natural conditions, economic activities, socio-cultural history, etc. It includes not only the traditional culture of the country itself, but also a wealth of specific culture and a survey of natural and geographical condition.From the point of Le Corbusier's concept of Color of construction and its actual use, it is not difficult to learn when we take China's actual construction actuality into consideration that direction of color of construction should be sustainable development heading and move towards new building.
