This paper briefly studies the climate and soil features of different regions in my country, chooses 20 regions:Yinchuan, Ha'erbin, Huhehaote, Shenyang, Beijing, Zhengzhou, Wulumuqi, Lanzhou, Shanghai, Chongqing, Changsha, Guangzhou, Kunming, Xian, Lasa, Jinan, Wuhan, Guiyang, Hangzhou, Nanjing as objects. Using DesT.c commercial building load simulation software to establish a office building model, and calculates annual dynamic air-conditioning loads of the office building in 20 regions.According to the recommended methods in(GB 50366-2005),the paper calculates the lengths of underground pipes in 20 regions, and establishes the mathematical model of the ground-coupled heat pump system.Based on the life cycle assessment (LCA) theory, the paper defines the specific meaning of the life cycle of heat pump system, and establishes four indexes:EFH (Effective hours), ENC (Energy Consumptions), ECO (Economic Costs) and EMI (Emissions) to investigate the regions suitability of ground-coupled heat pump system, and uses the pairs comparison matrix subjective scoring method to set weight for each index. In the part of impact assessment, the paper considers the four indexes'impacts and uses fuzzy clustering analysis Innovatively to make the regions suitability similar classification for 20 regions. The result is:the better appropriate regions are Beijing, Jinan, Zhengzhou, Xian and Kunming; appropriate regions are Guiyang, Lanzhou, Shanghai; less appropriate regions are Changsha, Huhehaote, Nanjing, Shenyang, Wuhan, Yinchuan and Chongqing; the least appropriate regions are Guangzhou, Ha'erbin, Lasa and Wulumuqi. The paper is intended to study a evaluation method considering the influence of four factors:reliability, energy efficiency, economy, and environmental and basing on the ground-coupled heat pump system's operating characteristics in different regions during the system's life-span. The conclusion proves that fuzzy clustering analysis is a better method of division, and the regional suitability for ground-coupled heat pump can provide the theoretical basis and technical support for the popularization and application of ground source heat pump technology in Chinese regions.
