Wind as a renewable, clean non-polluting, inexhaustible energy, become an important direction of the world's renewable energy development. Permanent magnet direct drive wind turbines due to mechanical loss is small, efficient operation, low cost for maintenance have become the focus of research models. This paper studies two aspects, one is direct-drive wind power system simulation, the other is the maximum power point tracking(MPPT). Comparative advantages and disadvantages of the common topology.This paper first introduces the research background and significance of the subject, research at home and abroad, point out that a series of benefits in direct-drive wind power generation system. is currently a hot research models at home and abroad. second, from the operating principle of direct-drive wind power generation system. A more detailed theoretical analysis on permanent magnet direct-drive wind power generation system. Give the wind speed, wind machines, permanent magnet synchronous generator mathematical model.
