Study On Treatment Technology Of Expansive Soil Subgrade In Nanyang-Dengzhou Expressway

The problem of highway subgrade diseases caused by expansive soil is always a heated concern in engineering field. On the basis of Nanyang-Dengzhou Expressway construction, the mineral elements of expansive soil which are mainly made up of kaolinites smectites and holloysites are analyzed with X-ray diffraction technique. Based on the soil samples having been selected right at the construction sites and relevant experiments research, we can draw a conclusion that most of the expansive soils at this line are moderate or weak expansive soils. Therefore, rational modification measures for moderate expansive soils are given. At last, the production of design and construction technology of side slope and subgrade in expansive soil areas is put forward which will certainly give useful guildance to the expressway construction in expansive areas in China in the future.
