New Poly Plaza is the architecture system of unsymmetrical multi-tower-connected mixed structures which possesses complex dynamical characteristic and is made up of suspend-floor construction, transfer structure of high Vierendeel truss, transfer structure of huge truss and three shearwall sleeves of different rigidity. In order to settle the design problem of new-style structure of this project, this paper researched unsymmetrical multi-tower-connected structures, analyzed the developing trend of tall building structures and concluded the situation of application and research in system of multi-tower-connected structures. It was analyzed that the dynamic characteristic of complicated multi-tower-connected structures with the sample of Beijing New Poly Plaza, made the study of shaking table experiment and Push-over analysis, drew the design key point. Aimed at the suspend construction and combined the basic aseismatic method, multi-layer transfer structure of high Vierendeel truss, the concept of structure damageable character was introduced, the structure design method of high security was advanced and the project design of new style configuration was completed.In the aspect of aseismatic analysis, it was used that response spectrum method of mode decomposition and elastic time-history method to analyze New Poly Plaza with the different software of ANSYS, ETABS and SATWE, studied the basic dynamic characteristic and the seismic corresponding characteristics of unsymmetrical multi-tower-connected structures, discussed the setting problems of the parameters of response spectrum and mode combination, made the analysis of pushover, and the structural respond characteristics of unsymmetrical multi-tower-connected structures under the situation of infrequent earthquake.In the aspect of aseismatic design, it was created that the bran-new suspend-floor construction and it was adopted to reinforce the holistic stiffness that the method of huge crossed slanting support with steel framework around. The load on suspend-floor construction under the low-grade and the middle-grade earthquake was analyzed, the new style shock absorption equipment that is mechanical swing device was settled. It was concluded that the dynamic respond rule of transfer structure of Vierendeel truss under the action of vertical earthquake. Structure damageable character was analyzed and the backup bearing system was designed aimed at the hidden trouble of excessive stress on the support of this kind of transfer structures. it was operated that the aseismatic experiment on shaking table of different level on the shrunken scale model of New Poly Plaza, analyzed the seismic response rules of unequal stiffness tower, high transfer layer and the suspend-floor construction of unsymmetrical multi-tower-connected structures, indicated the position of weak layer.This paper established the design method and program based on the structural damageable character via the means of introducing the concept of Robustness in the progress of structural analysis with the sample of Beijing New Poly Plaza. The structural design of suspend-floor construction and transfer structure of high multi-layer Vierendeel truss applied in this project improved the security of complex structural system and offered the reference for the structural design of complicated architectural system.
