As the advantages of the structural behavior and bridge aesthetics, the combined bridge of V-shaped pier continuous rigid frame and arch structure has been more widely adopted. This combined sysytem bridge is to combine large span PC V-shaped pier continuous rigid frame bridge and arch structure, and the bearing force characteristics of overall structure is on the former , then the later is to play a role of stiffening the main span. On the one hand, the arch and suspender can reinforce the middle span, which could decrease the height of the V-shaped structure and improve the long term deformation and strained condition of the overall combined structure. The lower beam depth could reduce the construction cost. On the other hand, after the closure of the V-shaped pier continuous rigid frame bridge, the deck provides a good terrace for installing the arch, which raise the arch's shock resistance and stability. At the same time, the outside leg of the V-shaped pier could balance a part of the huge horizontal thrust from the inside leg of the arch, then the stress of the pile foundation is improved.The Xiao Lan great waterway bridge of Guangzhou-Zhuhai inter-city high-speed rail transit project is currently being constructed in our country, which belongs to this V-shaped pier continuous rigid frame and arch structure. Ihe main span is (100+220+ 100)m, having modern and beautiful design, to provide a new idea for the development of large span railway bridge. As the new combined system bridge, the bearing and transferring load capacity of structure are relatively complicated. In addition, the node of this V-shaped pier continuous rigid frame and arch is more complicated, and it's so difficult to show the node's stress level and distribution under particular load combination only using nomothetic bridge structure analysis. In order to understand the node's work, structure's complicated bearing capacity and verify the design's rationality, a 1/6 scale model of the node was constructed and tested.This thesis is focused on the model testing of Xiao Lan great waterway bridge's node, firstly, the structural performances and characteristics of the V-shaped pier continuous rigid frame and arch structure are briefly introduced, secondly, the design, construction and testing of the node model are stated, and it is emphasized on the the result analysis of the model test. Then a model of the combination of arch and beam is created to analysis, under the large-scale finite element analysis program ANSYS, and compare the theoretical calculation result with the test result. Finally, it comes to a conclusion that the design of this V-shaped pier continuous rigid frame and arch structure is rational, and gives a technical reference for the same type bridge.
