C70 type freight car is a main kind of operational freight car in China. Wheelset is the main element affecting its operational safety. Present work explore its fatigue reliability applied the on-line inspection data of wheel-track contact force data. Follwing work were performed.First, squres polynomial regression method was applied to convert the on-line wheel-track contact force data into stress spectrum of the wheelset. The service conditions were distinguished and the squres polynomial regression equation are established respectively by the conditions. The stress spectrum was summed up of all condition.Second, the thermal stress of wheel by brake was furtherly canculated and incorporated into the stress spectrum of wheelset by the realized service situations.Third, fatigue equavelant stress level and reliability life were predicted by the S-N curve plus Miner's liner cumulative damage rule.Present work has explored the fatigue reliability analysis approad of wheelset by the wheel-track contact force history.
