Analysis of the cantilever structure based on finite element were introduced in this paper. So as to determine the characteristics of static and dynamic of the cantilever structure under different working conditions by this way. Thereby we can get some improvement and make sure of the best structure and offer technical support to not only the research of the reliabilities of the pantograph and OCS but also the design and construction and operation of OCS.The cantilever was made as the main research subject in this text. The thirteen typical cantilever structural finite element model was made depending on its different working conditions and the three compositional structures. According to the different loads under the working condition, the characteristics of static and dynamic of the cantilever including static analysis, modal analysis, harmonic response analysis and transient response analysis was analyzed based on ANSYS software of finite element analysis. At the same time, the result was studied on comprehensive. The paper gives the best structure for the different working condition.The thirteen cantilever structure model was analyzed for the static analysis. The static translation contour plot and static stress contour plot and related data come from the static analysis, the result was analyzed synthetically, too. The paper concludes the natural frequency of structure and vibration amplitude by modal analysis. Except the pull rod cantilever, the other's natural frequency is not included in the environment inspiring frequency. The text concludes that harmonic response displacement cure and stress cure through the rising force harmonic response analysis and the largest vibration amplitude happened in the natural frequency. Wind action transient response analysis was analyzed for the six straight line locations and the result was also analyzed. Problems of analysis are described and the next stage of the improvement measures was put forward.
