With the development of society and the improvement of people's live, environmental problem is becoming the focus of the world. The pollution from automobile is more and more serious. more and more attentions from the government and society are paid on vehicle emissions. For control pollution, every country control requirement about the emission pollutant, constitute the compelling emission standards to control the emission from automobile.This paper discusses the worldwide trend of the increasingly rigid limits for exhaust pollutants from motor vehicles, introduce The harm of the mobile let pollution to the environment and human body briefly, the analysis on reasons for forming of auto emission, and describe The mobile let control technology in existence, and also points out that After application of Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) and Three-Way-Catalyst (TWC) in gasoline engine, CO, NOx, HC emitted from the engine is reduced. and Diesel engine is widely used as power source of vehicles for its simple construction, good reliability, high efficiency, strong dynamic performance and low carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon. After treatment is considered the development trend of diesel emission control and catalytic technologies are believed to be the most effective way to reduce the nitric oxide of diesel. the main problem consisted in the mobile let post-processor technology were described. Furthermore, the design scheme of mobile let control system and its feasibility were discussed. It also points out that particulate trap's regeneration is important influential factor for aftertreatment of diesel engine; Electronic-controlled fuel injection system of diesel engine can realize accurate control and reduce smoke emission obviously, so it is one of the most important prospects of diesel engine.This paper studied the exhaust emission performances of alternative fuel vehicle, electric vehicle and hybrid vehicle by contrast. In order to protect the environment and realize the sustainable development of automotive industry, it is pointed that alternative fuel vehicle, electric vehicle, and hybrid vehicle technologies are the effective methods for solving the problems of emissions and noise from vehicles, and also the energy structure. Hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), which has many advantages, such as low energy consumption, low emissions, long drive distance, mature technology etc, is more perfect one at present, and the fuel cell vehicle of zero exhaust emission will be the best one in future.
