125mm Tank Cannon With Explosive Sub-munitions Design

Sub-munitions blast is Directional anti-personnel munitions, having a unique damage approach, which has absolute advantages in dealing with aerial targets compared with conventional munitions. It is a class of anti-personnel weapons that cover the goals by evenly spreading bullets and improve the effective damage range.This paper is with models of a grenade as the background. The overall structure of the grenade has been redesigned so that the improved sub-munitions have the capacity of anti-explosion and keep the quality of ammunition, the center of mass, moment of inertia and the shape as before. According to the requirements of the design, we combine PROE and ANSYS to set up the ease of the model, using PROE to have set up the three-dimensional model with the tail and the bottom of the warhead and fuse, and get quality attribute database of this part. The modeling process involved 41 parameters taking into account of the following-up, the convenience of using the finite element method to facilitate the use of ANSYS for the rest of the parameters of the model. After repeated design, we get a group of design to meet the design requirements for the final parameters. The reliability of the ejection process was verified by using of empirical formula .The simulation of the launch of the cluster process and the ejection process is made by using the powerful non-linear dynamic calculation and contact functions of ANSYS-DYNA. In these two process, the parts have not been expired, projectile fired projectile safety and security has been ensured and from the projectile we can also see the process of fragmentation can be dispersed to meet the design requirements.
