Hardware-in-loop simulation between absolute simulation and the physical simulation, with its flexible configuration, fast-running, real-time, reproducible, can close to even reach the physical simulation. It welcomed by simulation workers and played an increasingly important role in the field of system simulation. In this subject, I used in the form of hardware-in-loop simulation, developed a SINS-hardware–in– the-loop simulation platform by composing navigation algorithm, track simulation, initial alignment algorithm and based on the FPGA hardware navigation board.Firstly, I presented the background and the basic concepts of this subject. According to the experimental inertial system principle, I analyzed the composition of the platform structure, and then, in accordance with the established structure of the system, I designed the software and the hardware parts of the system and the functional components of the program.Because of the independent characteristic, as well as all the SINS solution will calculate in the navigation computer, I focused on these algorithms and mathematical modeling in this paper. I also studied the initial alignment technology navigation solution, and I applied Kalman filter technology in the solution system. In the communication modular of system, I analyzed the application layer protocol rules, combined with the actual format of the data and realized the application of this platform, I compiled the communication protocol of this platform. So that, the platform can run both pure simulation mode and hardware-in-loop mode.
