The Research Of Residential Space Shape Pillowing Mountain And River In Yixing Ancient Shushan South Street

Ancient Shushan South Street is the major ceramics center of Yixing in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, which has five thousand years of Ceramic firing history, and it was assessed as the units to be protected in 1996. Ancient Shushan South Street has a long history and rich cultural heritage, ceramic production not only forms the local traditional social structure, but also determines the way people live in Ancient Shushan South Street, thus constitute a unique life culture.In this paper, the residential space of ancient Shushan South Street is the research object, through the collation of historical documents, interviews with local residents, the actual mapping, reference contrast, etc., and this paper combines with examples analysing the ancient Shushan South Street residential space forms, including the impact of ceramics production activities and lifestyle to the residential space, as well as the combination style between the residential and the mountain environment.The article is divided into five chapters, respectively describes the relative content of the ancient Shushan South Street residential space. The first chapter proposes the study objects and research value. The second chapter summarizes and organizes the ancient Shushan South Street's integrated environment, as well as its history and proposes the mountain terrain residence of the ancient Shushan South Street. The third and forth chapter is the major part of this paper, which will focus on analysing the single-family residential courtyard space composition of the ancient Shushan South Street , and exploring the reasons behind the formation. They analysis the course from the single-family residential courtyard to the organic evolution of the overall space, and reveales the relation between the laws of micro-architecture organization and the overall space formation of the ancient Shushan South Street. The last chapter comprises Zhejiang San Qingkou ceramics village with the ancient Shushan South Street, not only increasing a research type, and also hoping that through the space between them, analyses the differences of residential space form, as well as the reasons behind.
