The concept of concentrical bracing in seismic design of steel building frames has gained substantial acceptance in recent years. Concentrical steel plate shear wall braced steel frames (CSWBF) is a kind of resistant-Lateralsystem. It combine the strength and stiffness of concentrically braced frames (CBFs) with the inelastic behavior and energy dissipation of steel plate shear walls. In order to investigate the seismic performance of concentrical steel plate shear walls braced steel frames, the effects of the height-to-thickness ratio on the hysteretic energy dissipation, the energy dissipative coefficient and the maximum out-of-plane deformation at the infill panel center are simulated under low cyclic loading via the finite element method that has been verified by experiments, and the corresponding hysteretico ut-of-plane deformations are presented. Moreover, the horizontal baring capacity, lateral stifness and ductility at diferent height-to-thickness ratios are further analyzed according to the skeleton curves. The results show that, CSWBF has excellent seismic-reismic and energy-dissipation,it has has some special characters and will be applied widely in the future. In conclusion, the proposal for designing CSWBF is put forward.
