Abstract/Summary:
As a new type of composite materials, compared with stell, CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) tendons have many advantages such as high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent corrosion resistance, excellent fatigue resistance, high fatigue strength and electro-magnetic neutrality, and so on. Replacing traditional high strength steel tendon with CFRP, which essentially solves the problems of corrosion and fatigue of reinfoced concrete structure, especially perstressed structure, has pretty foreground. But CFRP be used at present has some deficiencies, such as material anisotropy, and those cause many phenomenons differing from conventional material. The research of carbon fiber anchorage attracts much more attention in the world prestressed research. As a prestressed material, CFRP firstly should solve the anchorage problem that the load-carrying capacity is to dependent on the anchor performance of anchorage system, not the strengthen of prestressed tendon itself.Available anchors for FRP tendon mainly contain two types:wedge-type anchorage and bond-type anchorage. There are some important problem in practical project: 1, Excessive radial pressure on FRP tendon exerted by wedge result in premature failure in anchorage zone, 2, The creep of resin as boned material results in the losses of prestressing stress and the long-term stability is poor. This paper whose research object is basic anchorage element, using a combination method of theoretical analysis, numerical calculation and experimental means, design a new type of CFRP tendon wedge-type anchorage to solve the anchorage problem of CFRP tendon applied in prestressed structure and to promote the application of CFRP tendon in prestressed structure.
