With the popularization of the economizing technology on energy and automatic technology, the capacity and quantity of the Power Electronic Device, such as variable current equipment and Variable Frequency equipment, are increasing day by day, which makes the problem of the high harmonics in the power network more and more serious. Harmonics is not only a potential threat to the power system's security, stability and economical operation, but also influent the electric environment. So, the Harmonics have already been considered as the public hazards of the power network. The new technology, which can improve power's quality, has already become the focus of the power network's research recent years. But we need some special harmonic generators simulate harmonic disturbances in some cases such as testing the harmonics controlling equipment, testing the working condition when load device is being disturbed.The main Method of making harmonic are YIG modulate harmonious signal, technique of Direct Digital Synthesis and locating table way by software, etc.. Some methods of making typical harmonics are deeply researched and analysis in this paper. On the base of this research and the speed and precision which are required by the system, this paper designed a harmonic signal generator system with the core of TMS320F2812. This generator use DSP as the controller, and communicate with DSP by SRAM for the realization of high speed data exchange. The main circuit is realized by the electronic device, and conveniently uses the keyboard to control harmonics'output. This paper designed basic hardware control circuit and signal conditioning circuit, compiled system controlling software, and joint debugging software and hardware of the system, realized the basic function of the device, used MATLAB to carry on the harmonic signal's emulation, and compared with the system's output waveform and summarized and explained the error which may produce in the system.The system is proved well by the emulation of the computer. Through systematic analysis of the harmonic generator system, this system will have very important technical significance and economic value for the detection and research of the harmonics in the power system.
