| Pneumatic system is used more and more widely in industry automation because of its virtues such as cheapness, simpleness and strong resistance for pollution and so on. The actuator of pneumatic system is cylinder or pneumatic motor, according to its structure, pneumatic motor has pneumatic vane motor, pneumatic piston motor, pneumatic gear motor and so on. Now, pneumatic vane motors are widely used in mine and pneumatic tools. But its use is usually restricted because of its working stability. For a pneumatic vane motor, the work performance can be evaluated by the analysis of dynamic characteristics, by which we can reach the objective of the optimization of the structure design.Pneumatic system is not more stable than hydraulic system because of the compressibility of air which makes pneumatic system has low damping and rigidness. There are some factors which can make a notable impact on motor stability such as medium, control of system and structure design and so on. The pneumatic vane motor using in air hoist has been studied, and its dynamic characteristics has been analysed. We start with the structure design of motor, and then improve the stability of motor by changing its structure parameters. The main works accomplished in the paper include: (1) according to the structure feature and working principle of the pneumatic vane motor, we choosing a location of motor as a initial position, its kinematics model has been established in this paper by making use of mass flow rate continuity, laws of thermodynamics and torque equilibrium; (2) according to the working principle of motor, we categorize the chambers, a new method has been found by using conservation law of mass which can calculate process parameters of air chambers with any position at the principal exit area, and a specific kinematics model of motor in different working condition has been established; (3) the simulation model of motor has been established by using the Simulink module of Matlab, the kinematics simulation of motor has been done by combining its specific model and simulation model, the dynamic characteristics of pneumatic vane motor has been analyzed by using the result of simulation; (4) the working stability of motor has been analyzed, according to the result of analysis, the working stability of pneumatic vane motor is improved by changing the structure parameters of motor.The research lay a good foundation for further development and application of the pneumatic vane motor. |
