This thesis does a research on the reform design of Xianyang Weihe Bridge's construction equipment--rhombic hanging basket system.Xianyang Weihe Bridge is one part of the Zheng--Xi high-speed railway passenger line's western extension--Xi'an to Baoji, which is a national key project in Shaanxi province. Because of the tight supply of raw materials and short preparing time (and other reasons), construction organization decides to use the existing rhombic hanging basket system applied in Chaoyang Bridge. In order to ensure that the hanging basket system can meet the construction needs, some necessary reform design is implemented.Based on the thorough analysis on Xianyang Wehe Bridge's construction project and its construction plan, the thesis does a pilot calculation to the hanging basket system with FEA software. According to the results of pilot calculation, some necessary reform design is carried out, which remarkably improves the system's stability and security. After doing a checking calculation to the reformed rhombic hanging basket system's new FEA modle, the conclusion is reached that the reformed system is able to meet the Bridge's construction requirement, which is proved by the rhombic main-trusses' tension test.The reform design's economic benefit of rhombic hanging basket system for Xianyang Weihe Bridge is analyzed. Compared to making new equipment, the reform project only uses 260t of steel, saving about 1300t of steel, which is equivalent to saving about RMB 20 millions. The project has a good economy.Finally the study is done to rhombic hanging basket system's design and application. Some new methods and techniques on hanging basket's design and reform are summarized, which is benefit to hanging basket's design and actual application.
