In the tunnel construction, groundwater is the main factor impacting the safety, quality and engineering structure stability of the. tunnel construction, which is also the main potential danger. Generally, it is very complex for the geological structure of the region that tunnels pass through. The disaster such as water inrush, rock burst and collapse may occur during the construction of the tunnel that has long length and large workload and the water inrush is the common and serious problem. So it is more important for us to master the rule of the distribution and reserve of groundwater in the tunnel zone and to establish the hydro-geological model that we can exactly evaluate the place and the quantity of the inrush. In this paper basing on the specificity of volcanic rock formation mechanism of tunnel Daxiangling, it analyzed the borehole data collation, water pressure test pump, hydro-geological even other relevant information. It ascertained the characteristics of the water bearing medium and the fault zone, fracture zone even the possible inrush route through the study of groundwater recharge, runoff, discharge relations. At last, it established the hydro-geological model after mastering the characteristics of the water bearing medium and the main factors that effected the tunnel inrush. The research area is classified into three single hydro-geological units and the potential inrush place has been forecasted through the analysis of the comprehensive hydro-geological conditions. The three-dimensional mathematical model has been established in order to forecast the quantity of the inrush and the hydro-geological units and the result using the model compared with the results of conventional methods in order to ensure the reliability of results we get.
