The interaction between the train and the air become more and more intense with the speed up of the train. The aerodynamics of two high speed trains passing each other is one of the important aspects. Based on the 3-D steady compressible Navier-Stokes equation and the turbulent model of k-s two equations, the aerodynamics of passing events is simulated by the Computational fluid dynamics software FLUENT, and the change law of the aerodynamic force in the passing events is discussed. The response of the train under the effect of aerodynamic force is solved by the Multi-body dynamics simulation software SIMPACK. The riding quality and operation safety are evaluated.The 3-D aerodynamic model of the high speed train is established, the aerodynamic force effecting on the car body in the passing events of the high speed train are simulated by the sliding mesh method in FLUENT, considering different grounding conditions (plate, embankment, viaduct and different distance between lines) and different speed level of passing in the same speed and different speed, and the impact of the grounding conditions, speed level and distance between lines on the aerodynamic force in the passing events are analyzed.The dynamic model of the high speed train constituted by three cars is also built in this work. The response of the train in passing events of different speed level and distance of lines are simulated by the Wheel-Rail module in SIMPACK. The relevant parameters, as displacement, acceleration and derailment coefficient etc are obtained and the riding quality and operation safety of different speed level and distance of lines in passing events are evaluated.Some conclusions of this work can provide reference for studing hith speed train system dynamics and design of high speed railway, and lay the foundation for solving the riding quality and operation safety problems in speeding up of the train.
