Traditionally, the tempurature of Solid Rocket Motor (SRM) is predigested as invariableness and uniformity, but the protean and unhomogeneity of tempurature are rarely involved. In the actual process, the structural integrity of propellant of Solid Rocket Motor is seriously affecyed by the unhomogeneity of tempurature. It means that the nonlinear effect is useful and could not be neglected arbitrarily. This paper deals with the problem with finite elements model and boundary conditions on solidification, low temperature and launching in low temperature including the auxiliary conduction, and some conclusions are conducted. On the base, the paper analyses the structural integrity of solidification and launching in low temperature of Solid Rocket Motor.The main achievements are summarized as follows:The conspectus on SRM structural integrity and the research process is discussed firstly, and then both of the solidification process and launching in low temperature, besides its thermal analysis are presented. The influence on structural integrity subjected to temperature loading is introduced also. The software MSC.Nastran is put out emphasizing the thermal analysis and nonlinear structural analysis modules.The linear viscoelastic Basic theory, model, configuration, and a viscoelastic incremental FEM based on the Burgers model are introduced briefly. Finite Element Method is adopted because of its flexibility on complicated shapes and boundaries. The basic equations and their solution are studied respectively about the steady and transient conduction problems. It provides a better means in the subsequently analysis.Steady thermal analysis based on solidification process is performed. based on which structural integrity of SRM is investigated. The criterion of integrity on solid grain and the destory of propellant are introduced. The materials are associated to the elements, and the concept of zero-stress temperature is brought out. Then for the finite element model, steady thermal of temperature of structural integrity is analysed.Transient thermal analysis based on solidification process is performed. Thermal boundary is divided into three parts, consisting of parts of Solid Rocket Motor convection boundary, core model conduction boundary and free flap convection boundary. Each of the boundaries is imposed on the finite element model. Besides, for the natural cooling schemes, is analyzed to obtain its temperature field and structural integrity performance. On the base, the reaults between steady thermal of temperature and transient thermal of temperature are compared and analysed.Transient thermal analysis based on low temperature is performed. Fist transient thermal is analyzed from solidification to low temperature, then for low temperature, is analyzed to obtain its temperature field and structural integrity performance. Structural integrity on launching of low temperature is primarily analyzed. In conclusion, The influence of the unhomogeneity of temperature considered on structural integrity of Solid Rocket Motor grain is analysed, and some developments of transient thermal of temperature have been achieved. The methods and conclusions would be available for the design, manufactures and service of SRM.
