VB On The Asphalt Mixture-aided Design Software Development And Research

Asphalt mixture gradation design pays an important role in asphalt pavement design. The improper design would cause many problems in asphalt pavement.At present,our country asphalt mixture gradation design mainly bases on the result of Marshall Experiments data,which will take a long cycle.And if the experiments data is not in line with standard,gradations should be regulated and experiments should make again.That consumes labor and material resources.In order to improve the design efficiency and reduce resource consumption,and make sure designers has an intuitive understanding of gradation result at the beginning of experiments.This dissertation researched the way to develop and improve a kind of software which could supports and aids the design of asphalt mixture work.The develop tool is Visual Basic6.0.This dissertation discussed theory of random asphalt mixture strength formation mechanism and gradation theory as the software's theory supporting.And dissertation also discussed computer visualization techniques and computer simulation technology for software as development technology.Then finished "Asphalt mixture design visualization system 2.0".This software can achieve the functions as following.1,Based on user's data of gradation,software can produce a preview of specimen analog profile which shows combination of aggregate.2,Calculates Voids in mineral aggregate(VMA).3,Estimates the amount of asphalt.In order to research the practicality and reliability of software,we designed a variety of experiments to its prediction accuracy,and recommend the scope of application of software. At last,used the software in the actual project,that proved Asphalt mixture design visualization system 2.0 is important and practical value in the mix asphalt mixture design.
