With the high-speed development of national economy, the highway network extension continuously.The main battlefield of highway construction gradually shifts from the plains to the mountains, and the high mountain highway roadbed fills deep phenomenon as usual, with roadbed fillers demanding very large. Along the mountain road as a result of rock weathering mostly , lack of the high-quality roadbed filler. How to get local materials, evaluate the project nature of rock weathering scientificly, select the weathered rock which can meet the engineering requirements to fill subgrade, all of these have important practical significance to solve the shortage of mountain highway roadbed fill and expedite the construction of mountain highway.Based on analyzing correlative research results, first of all the paper studies on the weathered rock embankment of the engineering properties and introduces the compaction of the broken rock weathering characteristics of test methods and evaluation indicators; Secondly, by way of determining and analysing the degree of weathering of different rock weathering the physical and mechanical properties, the paper puts forward the index based on the weathering characteristics of the weathering degree of rock weathering classification standards and high-grade highway roadbed as a filler based on the evaluation of performance. In order to explore the weathered rock subgrade deformation characteristics, this study uses large-scale general-purpose use software of ANSYS to the weathered rock subgrade settlement of theoretical calculations, at the same time, the construction site on the highway roadbed laid a "multi-settlement panel" and the settlement of weathered rock subgrade deformation observations, finally, in the laboratory large-scale simulations about the bed of weathered rock subgrade are carried out to explore the weathered rock subgrade construction process.Studies have shown that using the rock weathering index to evaluate the degree of weathering filler not only can reflect the characteristics of material itself, but also can establish the weathering of rock weathering filler level and the way the correlation between performance successfully; In addition, using the method tracks can control of subgrade compaction very well and reflect the load-bearing capacity of subgrade from other side.In conclusion, through theoretical analysis, field observations, as well as large-scale simulation study, the paper analyses the weathered rock fill embankment settlement with the laws of time and influencing factors, with the weathered rock for embankment construction methods and quality control induced.
