Nanjing South Station is chosen as the engineering background of the train- structural dynamic response analysis for the dissertation. The Station is a new style building, with very huge and complex structure. In the platform floor, the reinforced concrete frame supports the rails, instead of classic beam structure. The equivalent spring stiffness method is used for the first time. By which the frame structure is replaced by independent track beams. Also the breaking force and starting force are studied based on the breaking and acceleration ratio defined by references. There are two main parts:(1) The researches in the field of train-structure dynamic interaction are summarized. Then the calculation and the cases conditions are studied in detail. The unit load is acted at the joint of railway beam and lateral beam in the model, then the equivalent spring stiffness is obtained by considering the displacements under the loads. Thus the equivalent rail beam model can be established. The responses of both Station structure and vehicle are calculated when CRH2 Train or ICE3 Train passes by Software DRVB8.5. The comfort indexes of trains are good in each condition while the vibration of the bridge may cause the passengers waiting on the site boards to feel not comfortable.(2) According to Newmark-P, the software is programmed by FORTRAN in order to calculate the longitudinal response of the multi-span simply-supported beam bridge under braking force or starting force at different speeds, braking rates, numbers of spans and stiffness of piers.
