Because of the advantage of shorter time response and higher precision, hydraulic position system is used very widely. The research with the background electro-hydraulic fatigue testing machine project of Beijing science and technique committee, based on a valve-controlled asymmetric cylinder system, is about solving the control error because of the noise disturbance in position system. PID controller with Kalman filter was designed for shorter time response and higher precision hydraulic position system.Based on numerous related literatures and reference materials at home and abroad, the mathematical models of position system about valve-controlled asymmetric cylinder actuator was built, PID controller with Kalman filter was designed, the control software under WINCE operate system was programmed and the experiment research work was done.First of all, system identification experiment was designed to get the system mathematic model by using least square identification method and the model was revised later. The experiment results prove the validity of the identification model.Secondly, this paper reduce the influence of the noise disturbance, the Kalman filter is designed and implemented. The simulation results prove the validity of the identification model.Finally, to improve the control precision of the PID controller in electro-hydraulic position servo system, PID control strategy with Kalman filter was researched and the filtered signal as the feedback signal, and the controller is made by MATLAB/RTW, then the simulation research was done. The experiment results prove the validity of the control strategy.
