With technological development and social progress, the automobile industry is increasing year by year. Energy source shortage and environment pollution arising from automobile industry have been given more and more attention all over the world. Hybrid electric vehicle(HEV) is a new type motor vehicle with low energy consumption and emission, it receives more and more extensive attention.YTK6605Q was studied in this thesis as traditional model to design power train system by related information in order to realize the designed object to improve the fuel economy and decrease the emission.The advantages and disadvantages of several drive structures had been elaborated on. Then the parallel configuration was put forward based on analyzing and comparing the advantages and disadvantages of series and parallel power train for hybrid electric power train structure. The analysis and configuration for power train, such as engine, storage, motor and transmission was selected respectively according to analyzing the component for HEV. Based on YTK6605Q, the thesis completed dynamic parameters matching of YTK6605QHEV and control strategy research. And the real time control strategy was selected. ADVISOR software was used to simulate the designed prototype under certain drive cycle. The simulation result was compared with the conventional bus in the end from which it could be concluded that the parameters selected for the newly designed prototype were reasonable and hybrid power was superior.
