Research Of Wireless Network Transmission Based On The Embedded System VxWorks

The background of this paper is the electronic chart system, which inset the integrated navigation display and control console of our school .When the data progress and the electronic chart needed to be rejiggered , the disk in the chart module must be taken down. To resolve this problem, this paper advance the designing of the wireless transmission under VxWorks real time system. The wireless network card driver and under the application of the wireless network under VxWorks system are especially designed, which achieving the wireless network communications between electronic chart system and the notebook.Firstly, the paper advances the design of the system and the hardware, which extending a RT8185L wireless card in the chart module and also introduces the designing background and the principle of the wireless network card.Secondly, the paper particularly designs the whole flow of the driver, including the initialization of the PCI equipment's ,some needed data structure and function. The paper also includes a END Driver of the wireless network card and add the END Driver to the VxWorks real time system and adopt ISR to achieve the data transmission between the card and the system.Thirdly, the application of the wireless network is designed and the network structure and the TCP/IP stack including IP ,ICMP ,ARP are also introduced. The way to communicate wirelessly between Electronic Chart module and notebook is also introduced, the design of the UDP process is especially designed. Finally, after adding the END driver and the application to the VxWorks system .we adopt the "ad hoc" to setting a WLAN, which can make a communications test .And the result of the test indicates that the electronic chart system and the notebook Can carry through a wireless network communication...
