The automatic guide and control system of carrier-based airplane approach and landing is the key technology of modern carrier/carrier-based airplane system. It is also the important part of compatibility of aircraft carrier and carrier-based airplane. The ACLS(Automatic Carrier Landing System) is the presentation of carrier-based airplane automatic approach and landing technology.ACLS can guide and control carrier-based aircraft to safe land on the moving deck of aircraft carrier under all whether and sea state. The mostly work is as follows:1.The F/A-18A carrier aircrafts are taken as study object in the thesis. The natural dynamics of the flight are analyzed in the process of carrier landing.Based on the simulation results, the dynamics of the objective aircrafts are stable in the glissading process.2.Deck movement is the main danger of the carrier-based airplane landing safely.AR model is identified to be the mathematic model for deck motion;RLS algorithm is adppted to estimate the parameters of AR model. At last the deck motion information is predicited by simulation.3.The automatic carrier landing system(ACLS) is designed by using frequency domain design method in the inner loop and time domain method in the outer loop. The dynamics of carrier aircrafts are changed by the well-designed autopilot, the approaching power compensation control system(APCS) with constant angle of attack is designed.Integrating the autopilot and APCS.4.A design of an Automatic Carrier Landing System(ACLS) is accomplished using H-infinity techniques,in which the single input/output design specifications were translated into the weighing functions of the H-infinity synthesis problem. The design yields satisfactory response.
