As a well developed seepage control measures, Grouting has been widely applied in various engineering fields, but the theories still continue to explore by now. Grouting design and construction still resort to the practical experience in certain areas. The paper analyzes the conventional water pressure test comprehensively. During the trial results, the paper determines whether required to grout, evaluate the effectiveness of grouting, determine the maximum grouting pressure, put forward the specific definition of groutability, and so on. By studying the relationship between the permeability and the groutability, the paper puts forward a new soil and rock grouting criteria and has some research for seepage grouting technology. The grouting guidelines recommended by this paper are applied to some embankment dam project in this paper. According to the result of the tests and theoretical calculations, the grouting methods and parameters are determined. The anti-seepage treatment program for the body and the foundation of embankment dam are finally determined. From the actual results of the project, the guidelines presented in this paper have a guiding significance for the grouting. Compared to the other methods, the method recommend by this paper is the feasible and effective. It has a certain practical significance for the project.
