Earthquake is a kind of natural disaster which is difficult to predict and the damage is very great. Because China lies in the place where earthquake comes frequently and most of these cable-stayed bridges stand in the place where seismic intensity exceedsâ…¦degrees. Therefore, it is of great theoretical and practical significance to conduct comprehensive and systematic investigation on the earthquake-resistance of bridge. The dynamic characteristics and the response under the different seismic wave input of the 3rd Nanjing Bridge with long-span are analyzed and discussed in details by MIDAS/CIVIL.The main contents are as follows:( 1) The finite element model has been established and the dynamic characteristics analysis of the 3rd Nanjing Bridge with long-span has been carried out, to prepare for the spectrum analysis;(2)Spectrum analysis is done to estimate seismic response of this bridge roughly, to estimate seismic response under the stimulus of three directions seismic wave input, and to prepare for the dynamic time-history analysis;(3) The dynamic time-history analysis of the 3rd Nanjing Bridge with long-span has been finished. The response characteristics under the different seismic wave input are analyzed in details. The response results under one-dimension,two-dimension and three-dimension seismic wave input are compared, and the conclusion that both low-dimension and three-dimension aseismic analysis are important for cable-stayed bridge with long-span is drawn.(4) Choose the two different vertical seismic wave inputs, and analyze the response results under one-dimension,two-dimension and three-dimension seismic wave input. Finally, some research results in this thesis are concluded, and the problems of further research are indicated.
