Many process of the industry combustion is turbulent nonpromixed. So it makes theory and practice sense to study on the characeristics of flame and the NO emission of the TNF(turbulent nonpromixed flame).This paper had done the experimental study and numerical simulation on the Characteristics of the flame and NO Emission of the Propane Turbulent Nonpromixed flame. First a set of the equipment for TNF was designed and built.In the center of the combustor is a nozzle for gas jet which diameter is 4mm,around of it is the ceramic honeycomb which make the oxider gas can get into the combustor equably.The central gas use the partly promixed method that mixed with one propane to four air in volume.The experiment under different outlet velocity of central gas and different flux of coflow shows that:with the outlet velocity of central gas speeding up,the flame will be taller first,then be shorter a little,at last will keep steadiness.The colour of flame will convert from golden to bright white;and the flame liftoff will appear and the position of it will be heighten. With the outlet velocity of central gas speeding up,the generation of NO will increasing rapidlly then the trend of the increase will slow down.And the generation of NO will reduce when the excessive air coefficent of the coflow increase.Then this paper construct the numerical simulation model of the turbulent jet flame.After simulation study on the methane-air tubulent reaction flame D which reseached by Sandia national laboratory.We compare the simulation result with their experiment data. Then the primary numerical simulation study under the condition of our experiment was done.The simulation result was compared with the experiment data,and the experiment conclusion was validated from the point of the numerical simulation views.
