Ultimate strength ofⅠ-section steel plate girders loaded in shear is one of the hot-spot problems.The post-bucking strength of web plate is considered to be the important factor.The foreign researchers give lots of analysis by establish the destroyed models,but it haven't been very perfect.About the stainless steel girders,it isn't considered in the Chinese code.So,It is necessary to have a deep research along with the use of the stainless steel in structures.In this paper,we will give the analysis of model parameters,especially the effects of the material non-linearity and the flange restraints of the plate girders,and provide a deep analysis in the field of the following:(1) It gives a amendment of the critical shear buckling for stainless steel rectangular plate considering the influence of the material non-linearity.(2) Modifing the shear buckling coefficient considering the influence of the flange depth of the plate girders.The result computed from advised formula be coincident with the result of experimental and FEM(3) The verified FEM model was used as a baseline for an extensive parametric analysis of the stainless steel plate girders considering the influence of the a/h_w,h_w/t_w,b_f/t_f,βand the initial geometrical imperfection,and to give advice for the design.
