With the unceasing advance of bridge design theroy and construction technology, great progress of bridge span has been made continuously,and structure style also becomes complex day by day.The inspection and assessment work of bridge in lifeline project is particularly necessary and urgent.Sensor system is one of the most important part of bridge health monitoring system .The optimal placement of sensor is hot topic in bridge health monitoring at present time.Based on Fuling Wujiang Sencond Bridge,this paper chooses Wujiang Second Bridge health monitoring system as the research object.Design of sensor system is especially discussed.First of all, this paper established a finite element model to carry out static analysis.And then analyze the main static response of the structure under the typical loading in order to find the key parts.Mainly depending on the ananlysis result and referencing the service condition of the similar bridges,the placement of the deformance,stress,cable tension and temperature sensors was determined.Secondly,establish the spatial plate and shell element model by Ansys finite element software.And modal analysis of the integrated structure has been finished.Find the position of the amplitude extremum in each mode shape according to the method of modal kinetic energy.Combing to the experience monitor of similar bridges,determine the position of dynamic sensors.Finally,summarize all the monitoring projects and relevant placement of the sensors. Following the detection of the level of sensors at the present time,certain the suited type of the sensors.
