The bearing capacity often embodies the non-linear character. For example, the modulus of resilience of sand gravel base course changes as the load changes. In a lot of case, the modulus of resilience increases as the load increases. In other words, sand gravel embodies obvious nonlinear character. Only we make the bearing capacity of sand gravel clear, we can offer bases for design and nonlinear analysis of this kind of pavement and establish base for the more reasonable pavement structure design method. The main contents and production include: establishing the nonlinear model of the relationship between bearing capacity and stress of sand gravel in different cases by the theoretical analysis and the result of test; establishing regression equation between nonlinear model parameter and binder,degree of compaction,water content; proposing a more reasonable non-linear model of gravel base material, and regressing out of the parameters of model, to make the model data match the experimental data, so that we can offer bases for design and nonlinear analysis of this kind of pavement and establish base for the more reasonable pavement structure design method.The production establishes basis for studying the nonlinear character of sand gravel base course further and is significant for granular base course flexible pavement structural design and analysis.
