Based on finding much information, the current main reinforcement methods of bridge reinforcement and its scope of application are introduced, aim at the arch bridge in detail. Next introduced the basic principles of ER method reinforce arch bridge. Compared the advantage of ER method reinforced arch bridge and other traditional arch reinforcement methods. The research background, research tools, as well as research purposes of the topic are expounded.The basic principle of ER method reinforced arch bridge is to transform the structural of bridge, transform the no hinge structure to flat hinge. The author focuses on the structural mechanics and calculation model of ER reinforce arch bridge. And analyzed the superposition model of temperature calculation.In the course of research ER method reinforced arch bridge, experienced from a single ER method reinforced arch bridge to the combination of ER method and increasing cross-section of composite method, especially with regard to the original design load lower level. Need to increase the carrying capacity of the relatively large range of old bridge, composite method provides a good solution. However, can be re-distributed of internal forces after composite method appliance the principle of ER method. Whether or not after the re-distribution of internal forces can enhance the capacity of bridge. Through calculation and analysis in this paper, compared and analysis the cross-section's situation of internal forces re-distribute before and after the reinforcement under the same load standard.Compared the force status of before and after reinforcement, analysis its internal force whether or not changed. At the same time test the whole process of test. Collect date by test measure of this subject, analysis the date, reflected truth the process of redistribution of internal forces. Summing up the laws of redistribution of internal forces. By comparing the calculated results and experimental date to prove the consistent of calculation model and test date, to show the law of redistribution of internal forces and the correctness of calculation model of ER method reinforcement arch bridge.
