| The loss of stability of ships in waves is the main factor in ship's sinking,which has draw people's attention on the study of ship's stability in waves.As mariners,it's very important to know about the stability of the ship at all times for manoeuvring a ship reasonable and keeping the safety navigation.At present,the study of ship's stability in wave still remains in the theoretical analysis phase.The current regulations and criteria for assuring the stability of a ship and preventing it from capsizing in wave only take the increasing of the static stability indirectly into account.Due to lack of quantitative analysis,it's difficult to play an effective role in guiding practice.Therefore, in the scope of acceptable error,quantitative calculation and analysis of ship's stability in wave can make the crew knowing more about the ship's stability,and it's also helpful for the safety of transportation at sea.The previous research of ship's hydrostatic stability and stability in waves are introduced.After a brief introduction about the definition and classification of ship's stability and calculation methods of the large angle transverse stability arm of ships in still water,the mathematical model of ship's roiling motion were studied,an improved mathematical model of ship's rolling motion suitable for the ship's stability calculating is presented,it also takes the changes of drafts and trim caused by rolling into account, which makes the ship's floating condition more reasonable.With matlab programming,we could complete the ship's hydrostatic calculation, the displacement calculation,and the big angle transverse stability calculation in any state on the base of the rolling model.The reliability and rationality of the rolling model are checked by contrast calculated values with ship's reference.The draft in waves is obtained by the transformation of coordinates and the balance of ship' floating condition.Combing with the environmental disturbances,the table of offsets and the loading status,the paper analysis the stability in waves quantitatively in the range of error allowed based on the rolling model.The reasons for the changes of stability in waves are analyzed.The main factors which lead to the variation of stability including the relative positions between ships and waves,wave length,wave height,course angle and ship's speed are analyzed one by one using control variable method to find the reason of ship's capsizing. |
