The wenchuan earthquake has killed many people and bring large damage. Especially on long-liner characteristic and it has scarcely referred in the bridge's criterion about earthquake resistance,so it has great sense on fulfillment of the bridge's criterion to research the thin-wall hollow pier's seismic response.So it is necessary to make a detailed and in-depth study of the seismic response for bridge under earthquake, especially near fault earthquake.Owing to this,the deterministic analysis method for seismic response of thin-wall hollow pier is discussed in this paper;find the character of the structure's linear and nonlinear response when earthquake takes place,the following task has been finished:(1) Take some bridges in wenchuan earthquake for example,introduced the capability of the high-pier and long-span bridge under earthquake,point out that the research of the bridge under near-fault earthquake is very urgently(2) Establishing the 3-dimensional finite element model by ABAQUS,analyzing the self-vibration characteristic of the bridge.(3) Studying the influence of the component of the Shifang and Mianzhu time-history acceleration seismic displacement and internal force response of the pier and girder of the bridge.With one,two three-directions and the degree of the bridge and the fault with 0°,45°,90°.(4) From the result,we can find that the displacement of the transverse is larger than portrait.There are larger shearing force and moment on the top and bottom of the pier.The reaction of the bridge plumbed to the fault is more actually than other angles. It must be taken attention on pier's design.
