Nowadays,the automobile has become one of the essential transportation vehicle in modern society.The level of automobile manufacturing in a country embodies the level of science and technology to the most extent.No matter on the weight or on the cost,car body holds the quite great proportion of the whole car structure.Car body is one of three big assemblies,the reasonable and artistic of the car body immediate influence the whole car,the design of car body structure decides the security,comfortableness and artistry of the whole car directly as well as operational stability,power and efficiency which decided by car contour and air power and so on.Body is the key assembly of a car.Its structure determines the mechanics characteristics of the whole car.The structure analysis of car body based on the FEM is the fundamental approach in the process of car body design-oriented.Also,the whole process of car body design becomes parallel in designing and analyzing.New characteristics and trends of car structure design come into being from modern analysis of car body structure.And they are significant in the design process.The main content and achievements of this paper are list as follows:This paper did a overall content and theoretic of finite element analysis and steps.And made the detailed introduction to basic processing module of commonly used FEM analysis software ANSYS and HyperMesh.Take some mini vehicle as example,has carried on the detailed introduction to the car body structure according to the sub-assembly.Have carried on a more systematic analysis to the structure mechanics characteristic of the car body and the designing method of the main sectional plane.Elaborated on the process of several key technologies of the body structure FEM model's modeling.Including:simulation of weld spot,the process of flange,hole and stiffener,unit select and grid division and so on.The finite element model of a mini-vehicle's engine hood is established,Low-order modal analysis is carried on the model.Low-order modal analysis of the body structure not only may inspect the rigidity of the body structure,but may also instruct people to carry on the optimized analysis to the body structure.Take the thickness of slab as the variable,have carried on the sector analysis to the engine hood,according to the analysis results,structure optimization design of the sensitivity high engine hood board has carried on.This paper has carried on a more systematic dynamic analysis to the body structure,"the modal analysis-sector analysis-optimization analysis" which were established can apply in other related researches,Gained certain experiences may use for reference for other related researches.As to the body structure's optimization analysis and lightweight design,this paper has certain reference value.
