In recent years,VSCF wind power generation is becoming into a new type of power generation technology.However,the doubly-fed wind generator(DFWG) excitation control group circuit power electronic devices brought harmonics to the system which can not be ignored,containing double-fed wind power generating units and power generation system after network quality has posed a great danger.The paper analyzes the doubly-fed wind turbine power generation principle and the doubly-fed generator's mathematical model.And set up a double-fed generators stand-alone model and simulate the operating characteristics of the doubly-fed generator in the Matlab software environment.It also analyzes the operating characteristics of the doubly-fed generator considering the harmonics and gives an analysis to a single doubly-fed generator which runs under different running states.The application of PSCAD / EMTDC and Matlab simulation software is used to simulate each case,it also gives an analysis to the difference of harmonic characteristics between single and multi-DFWG setting into the state grid.The analysis showed that the harmonic characteristics of the wind farms containing doubly-fed wind generators are different when the running state and the number of DFWG setting into the grid are different.
