Systematically summarized technology of emptying scour sediment. Physical graphics for longitudinal profile of traceable scour process is established, and the equation of longitudinal profile change in the traceable scour process is established according to the physical graphics and its related conditions. Through the mathematical model of longitudinal profile change and the balance equation of sediment, we deduce calculation formula of eventually scour length and estimation formula of eventually scour quantity in the traceable scour process for reservoir in a mountainous area. And according to data of emptying scour sediment for Toutunhe in 1999, we verify calculation formula of eventually scour length and estimation formula of eventually scour quantity.An overview of characteristic and principle of reservoir lateral erosion, made qualitative analyses on its mechanism of gravity erosion. The characteristics and mechanism of these technologies are analyzed. The technology of high channel desilting and pipeline reduce deposition are introduced in detail. A simple method and formula are controlled for desilting parts and flow of beach area.
