Since 17 century, urban public transportation has become one of the most important part of the whole urban transportation system, its development level is not only a significant symbol of the national modernization, but also reflects the general economic strength of the country, the development of urban economy and the citizens' living standard directly as well. Transfer system is an important subsystem of urban transportation system, the guarantee of the city transport priority, and the key to the integration, which is significant for the perfection of the city structure and rationalization of land use.This paper summarizes the researches and practices on the transfer system of foreign and urban cities, analyses the meanings of it and the realization conditions and influence factors for effective running as well as the principles of public transport's road network planning, then systematically analyze the elements and features of transit network to propose the effective layout of transit network, main structure type and representation, and after introduces the description and research about the optimal path problem, and analyzes several common path algorithms.Public transit route choice model is the key technology of transit passenger information system. Considering of different passengers' psychology, this paper presents put forward the optimal route algorithms aiming at the least times of bus transfer and shortest distance on the basis of analyzing the related documents. At last, this paper designs database and analyze forms of bus system and proximity relation of bus stations by data of Beijing public transportation. On the base of it, this paper realizes the query of bus lines and stations as well as two optimal route algorithms that are proposed in the paper. It is convenient for wider city dwellers and tourist.
