With the rapid development of wind power generation and gradual maturity of power market, the research of the assessment on wind power's influences on available transfer capability (ATC) in power systems is of great significance.Because of the chronological characteristics of the wind power, sequential Monte Carlo simulation method is adopted to make the assessment on ATC with large-scale wind farms. The hourly wind speed is simulated by the Auto-Regressive and Moving Average (ARMA) time series model. The ATC of every sampled system state is calculated by two kinds of method: one is the linear programming algorithm based on DC power flow, the other is an AC power flow method under crucial constraint. Based on the assessment results, an economic decision-making model of ATC is proposed considering the gain and risk of bilateral transactions in power market. The relevant theoretical analysis and numerical tests will provide valuable reference for power market operation and wind farm planning.
