The framework and running way of power system are trending complexity. In order to ensure security and economic of power system the demand for state estimation is higher and higher. We must study new algorithm to adapt to the new requirement. In this paper make a state estimation that introduced the information measured by PMU on the basis of the algorithm of measurement transformation of the equivalent current. Then make a linear estimation using the result getting in the last step and the information measured by PMU. On this basis study how to optimum the allocation of PMU using the algorithm of adaptive genetic algorithm based on niche aimed at improving state estimation accuracy. In the end conduct an exploratory research on the application of PMU in generator connecting to the power network synchronously.
