Lime-soil is very effective to deal with collapsible loess foundation,and it is more economical than other methods of ground treatment.Lime-soil as a building material has a long history and have been used widely in northwest territories,But the study on lime-soil engineering properties is far from meeting the needs of engineering before.Although many Engineering staffs have a certain sensibility in the nature of lime-soil to understand.However, the strength enhance of lime-soil in the mechanism is not in-depth study.Thus the strength of lime-soil to study the changes is great significance.The mainly works is 2:8 lime-soil tamping test and The different age confining pressure triaxial tests and taking some immersion tests.Through tamping test,it is obtained the lime-soil optimal water content is nean plastic limt water content,Hit reactive of the lime-soil will decrease with the water content。From the triaxial test,Age of lime-soil conservation must be met within 90 days to reach its strength.It will be subject to certain growth after 90 days,But it is a smaller increase.By the effects of confining pressure,it is found that c value of lime-soil will increases with the confining pressure.f values will increase with the confining pressure decreases.The c,f values of young lime-soil will change in large than the old lime-soil.The times of immersion will(wet sample) impact the c,f values significantly. the value of cohesion c will decline significantly after the first immersion.The other immersions have little effect in the c value.Otherwise,Internal friction angle will be stabilized after the water several immersions(the test for 4).The number of immersion will effect of the c,f value of the lime-soil air-dried samples was not obvious.However,c,f values will showed a straight line decline in the number of immersion(4 times only).It is used Duncan-Zhang model to analysis the lime-soil stress-strain relations,and find out the strength and stress-strain characteristics of lime-soil in different states.The analysis found that Duncan-Zhang model is applicable to lime-soil,the relationshipεa/(σ1-σ3)ea relations is extremely linear correlation.
