V-ball valve is the first valve design of the regulator, after a very long time usage, the manufacture technology is already matured. V-ball valve operates by the control of the rotation axis connected to the spool, control the rotation of the ball valve opening, so that the V-shaped opening of the spool with the fluid flow to form circulation cross-sectional area of different sizes. So as to change the size of the fluid flow.Actually, the actual flow and regulating ratio of the V-ball valve, are very different from those of the ideal conditions . In order to make V-shaped regulation ball valve meet the normal production and life need, we must be familiar with the size of its flow, and the flow characteristics of the regulation , so that we can design and manufacture a suitable V-shaped regulation ball valve.V-shaped regulation ball valve apply to the place needing regulating fluid flow, because of its V-shaped opening, the valve has the very good cut-out function, suit able for the high viscosity fluids. The issue through the numerical simulation to the size of its flow on the V-shaped regulation ball valve, analyse the flow size and the flow characteristics, find a structure of the V-ball valve having good regulation characteristics.On the basis of the existing CAD drawings, list the data parameters which need, and under the three-dimensional modeling software SolidWorks building model, through coordinate relations produce assembly drawings.Analyze V-shaped regulation ball valve, simplify the model ball valve, then put the numerical model of the flow generated into CFD software for numerical simulation calculation, obtain V-ball valve opening in all the size of the flow .Compared with the calculate datas and experimental datas, optimal design the structure of V-shaped regulation ball valve, through the numerical analysis of the optimization result, finally, determine the optimal design.Optimal design of the valve structure is a very complex task, in the past, required a large amount of repeated comparison of the test calculation, spent a lot of manpower, material and financial resources. On the valve design ,the issue through the numerical simulation software change the situation. Through establishing a computer model of the structure needed, carry out numerical calculation, find the fluid flow in line with the actual situation very much, and save a great deal design cost. So it is very feasible to use numerical simulation replace the traditional experimental design.
