OD matrix is important basic data in traffic planning, traffic management and traffic control, at the same time, the direct and reliable input data of traffic simulation system. To obtain OD matrix, the traditional method needs a large-scale sample survey, then its high cost and organizational difficulty is happened. With the increasing complexity of transportation systems, the rapid development of information and computer technology, there is an urgent need to find an economic and feasible way to get a more realistic actual OD matrix. Floating cars are more evenly distributed in the links, and the data collected by floating cars is sent on time to the information center of vehicle,through map-matching and corresponding algorithms, OD matrix of floating cars can be obtained, after expanding floating car OD matrix,they can get taxi OD matrix.The study of taxi operating characteristic can effectively improve the management level of the taxi industry, provide information to support the decision-making of traffic managers in the city, then provide the public with a certain degree of traffic information services, at last contribute to the development and utilization of intelligent transportation system's data sources. The traditional method is to analyse taxi IC card records which is not good enough in time-sensitive, needs a certain cycle to carry out data collection and can not be contacted effectively with urban space and location. Floating car data can make up for the drawbacks of IC cards.In this paper, the floating car technology at home and abroad and the methods on information collection and application of taxi operation are reviewed. This paper researches and analyses the floating car data collection system, the characteristic of the floating car data and the match floating car data which is formed through the map-matching. On this basis, this paper researchs on taxi operating behavior records' algorithm, taxi's links and centroids OD matrix gained algorithm, and taxi routing gained algorithm between links OD. Finally, the article use the GPS data of Hangzhou floating car and VC++, MapObjects and Crystal Reports programming components to test the algorithm, verify the validity of the correlation algorithm, and analyses taxi main Operating indicators, puts forward the related proposal.
