Research On Transit Crew Scheduling System Based On Integration Of Case And Rule Reasoning

Traffic problems are deteriorating more and more seriously because of faster and faster urbanization in the world.In order to solve the problems,the public traffic should be highly developed,meanwhile,public traffic system must be improved continually to face the increasingly traffic pressure.Transit Crew Scheduling Problem (TCSP) is an important factor to improve the public traffic capacity and efficiency. Good crew and veicle scheduling not only improves the qulity of transit operation,but also saves the cost.Nowadays,solving TCSP mainly depends on manual operation and operators' experience.Because many factors should be considered,it is a variously complexed problem.At present,the application of information technology goes deep into public traffic dispatching and scheduling.Under the background,considering the characteristics of TCSP,the thesis designs and implements the transit crew scheduling system.The system is based on case resoning(CBR) and rule resoning(RBR),and blackboard theory is introduced to control and coordinate the resoning process.It not only improves the crew and veichle schedualing effecincy,but also raises the optimization level.As the research object of the thesis,Beijing Public Transport Holdings,Ltd.(BPT) has used the system widely and achieved a good effect.In the thesis,I work as follows:First,introduce the domestic and foreign correlative research situations of TCSP. Second,describe TCSP and build models according to practical survey.Third,discuss and design inference model based on case resoning and rule resoning,and introduce background theory to control the process.Forth,design the function modules of transit crew scheduling system and database tables,accomplish system functions by using Sql Server 2005 to provide database service,Visual Studio 2005 as a developing tool and C# as the developing language.At last,use the system to realize the crew scheduling with an example of bus line 686 in BPT.
