With the development of the national economy and the increase of the number of cars, urban traffic is facing with tremendous pressure; traffic has become an important factor which constraints city's economic development. Therefore, Intelligent Transportation Systems which aims to solve the problem of traffic and has high-tech innovations becomes the world's hot topic. Agent technology is the latest research findings in the field of computer and artificial intelligence, is a new development of object-oriented technology, Agent technology provides a new means to solve complex problems. The interaction between Agents can make MAS to solve the problems which a single agent can not solve. Study of the interaction mechanism of Multi-Agent Intelligent Transportation System can provide a new approach to solve the traffic problems, the characteristics and advantages of agent and the interaction mechanism of multi-Agent can address traffic problems with new ideas and methods.Based on a wide range of information and the existing achievements, the paper analyses the concept, structure and characteristics of Agent, builds the structure model of every agent of the multi-Agent Intelligent Transportation Systems combined with Agent theory, and makes an in-depth research on the Interactive mechanism of multi-Agent Intelligent Transportation Systems. The main study contents of the paper are as follows:(1) The paper analyses and designs the structure of MA-ITS, the system is divided into four modules: Induction Agent, Security Agent, Service Agent and Management Agent, and the paper makes a detailed analysis of the function of each module.(2) The paper studies the coordination mechanism of MA-ITS using game theory methods, and analyses the process of the game through an example of traffic intersection.(3) The paper studies the collaboration mechanisms of MA-ITS through the use of reinforcement learning method, analyses the learning process before the collaboration, and studied the process of determining the accident, making decision and resolve the incident between the Agents through a virtual event.(4) The paper studies the negotiation mechanism of MA-ITS through analysis on the negotiation agreement, negotiation strategy and negotiation solving, and then builds a negotiation model to study the process of negotiation.
