Research On Central China Power Network Protection Relay Coordination And Setting Management Automation System

Protection relay system is the key of the power system security. In the control center, the automated anaysis and calculation of protection relay gets great progress in the recent years, and so does the setting management of protection relay. However, all these systems are isolated, which makes the data redundant and very difficult to maintain. With the development of computer hardware, software and network, the integration of all these protection relay and information management systems becomes necessary and feasible, and is a very challenging and significant project. This dissertation puts forward a unified frame of such an integrated system, describes the functions of each module and studies the key problems. Such a system has been applied in the Control Center of Huazhong Power Grid.The main work and conclusions of this dissertation are as follows:1. A protection device integrative coordination system is implemented. The automation of the whole process of coordination is realized. Protection engineer is relieved from heavy workload completely and ensure the convenience of all stages of coordination.2. Some new coordination methods and measures are presented to improve the effect of the protection system to some extent. In this thesis, some new methods or coordination rules are presented, such as, detective impedance method, optimized coordination parameter method.3. The user-defined coordination of protection device is realized. For any new protection device, user can define its coordination rules. It is greatly improve the generality and robustness of software.
