In this paper, using the generalized function method, the free vibration of moderately rectangular orthotropic thick plates are analyzed.Because of using the generalized function method and double fourier series, the development of equations is very simple, and the answer has the advantages of uniform mathematic.Author compiles programs using MATLAB in order to achieve the purpose of computed results. And some distortion figures in different conditions are given. It is easy to contrast and check.Object of research in this paper is moderately rectangular orthotropic thick plates. In the basis of AMσapμyMRH moderately thick plates theory, author utilizes the generalized function method to resolves discontinuity of derivative, exploits symmetry and double fourier series to unfold control equation and boundary conditions. Differential equations are simplified as matrix algebra equations. At last, the free vibration of moderately rectangular orthotropic thick plates are resolved.Using the generalized function theory for solving vibration problems of plates,it is a new idea for dynamics research of thick plates. This method not only possesses theoretical value on academic study, but also greatly significance on practical engineering. It can solve free vibration problems of Moderately Rectangular Orthotropic Thick Plates effectively.
