Based on the All Terrain Vehicle for Patrolling Forestry Fire introduced from USA, this paper analysizes and reshearches its crossing performance through calculating its forces and testings. At the same time, combining with the developing of the primary prototype of All Terrain Vehicle for patrolling forestry fire in our country, this paper founds, analysizes and optimizes the dynamic model of front suspension by the technology of virtual prototype and the relative software—ADAMS.The vehicles used for patrolling forestry fire have to possess good crossing performce, so that they are able to satisfy the using request of bad terrain in foresty area and ensure the safty of the patrolmen. Therefore, it is necessary to confirm its crossing performance before using the All Terrain Vehicle for Patrolling Forestry Fire introduced from USA.This kind of advanced All Terrain Vehicle for Patrolling Forestry Fire made in our own country is largely worthed to study right now, this paper will offer reference and lay a foundation for the whole model of this kind of vehicle. To form independent ability to develop vehicles as soon as possible, shorten the developping cycle, decrease the developping cost and evaluate vehicles in advance the, this paper applies the modern designing idea of "Design-Analysis-Test" by using the technology of virtual prototype in the reshearch of our country's all terrain vehicle for patrolling forestry fire, founds the dynamic model of the front suspension system quickly and accurately, makes parallel travel analysis test by the powerfull function for simulating and analysis of ADAMS, evaluates comprehensively and accurately if the model meets the designing requests of suspension and optimizes and improves the model based on the data from the simulation.
